Shade Sails

The use of fabric to provide shade has been around since the Romans shaded the Coliseum but it took the Australians to turn this concept into a stylish high-tech shade solution!

Shade Sails are available as Pre-Made or Custom Made with some critical differences.

Premade sails come in a limited size range and are less expensive but are much more difficult to achieve the high tension that is essential to prolong the life of the sail. ou have to try and align your attachment points to the geometry of the sail which is not always possible.

Custom Shade Sails use the "fixings first/sails last" method so the sail fits perfectly every time! High tension reduces flapping, which prolongs the life of the sail. It is common to achieve 10-15 years useable life with today's 3rd generation shadecloth and all of our shadecloth includes a 10 Year UV Degradation Warranty.

Shadecloth is a knitted fabric made from HDPE (High Density PolyEthelyne) treated with UV resistant chemicals and comes in either 90% or 95% weaves. See our fabric information pages for specific information.
