We offer the largest selection of fabrics for custom sized shadesails available on the internet today. Over the last ten years there have been dramatic improvements in shadecloth design and production capabilities, lead by the Australian manufacturers.
We offer a range of fabric weights and colors suitable for every project from a small residential sail to a 4000 square foot commercial installation. As the weight of the shadecloth increases, so too do the construction techniques increase in strength and durability. From 1" wide webbing perimeters to a fully cabled perimeter the sails are manufactured appropriately to the application.
Warranties
Nearly all fabric manufacturers offer a 10 Year UV Degradation Warranty. This assures you a long and trouble free life for your sail.
Shadecloth, due to its abulity to breathe is an ideal roof in a hot outdoor climate. By allowing the hot air to vent through the membrane you can reduce the temperature by as much as 35º.
Rain Protection
Many people are interested in the level of rain protection offered by a knitted shadecloth sail. A 90% shadecloth means that there are 10% open holes, allowing rain to drip through or atomize beneath the canopy. As the slope of the sail increases run-off and surface tension serves to keep the under-canopy drier. At a 55% or greater slope (using 95% shadecloth) one can consider a sail almost waterproof.
For fully waterproof applications we offer PVC sails using Ferrari 502 fabric which is 100% waterproof.
